It is almost 2 weeks since Max is in childcare... The 1st week was quite terrible. I accompanied him for half day during the 1st day. At 1st was quite ok as they were listening to music and he was able to participate a little. But when they went back to their own section for their own activities, he started to cry and always want me to accompany him. When i'm out of sight, he will cry even the teacher did carry him and coax him.
I did not accompany him most of the time during the 2nd day as per the teacher's advice. He cried and stopped all the time he was in childcare. He refused his lunch even as I went in to feed him.
The same cycle went on for that 1st week. He cried and stopped and cried and stopped. He did not eat much of his lunch and totally refused if the childcare served noodles for lunch. He just did not like noodles.
He fared a bit better for the 2nd week although he did cry a bit when my MIL dropped him off at childcare. Started to hear some complaints from the teacher, such as he kept walking around, refused to sit still and even hit a classmate once. As per teacher advice, we are still sending him to half day childcare for the 1st month, after which the teacher suggest we can fetch him home after nap time for the 2nd month.
During these 2 weeks or so, every night will hear some kind of minor complaints from my MIL such as the following:
1) Why do they cook noodles for 2 consecutive days w/o much ingredients? No nutrients...
2) The soup must add msg, that why it is tasty and Max will drink alot
3) The teacher cant take care of so many kids. That why when Max's water bottle went missing they did not notice.
and many more small things.
She also comment that Max is not afraid of teacher, totally ignore her when she called him. Also help out in keeping toys etc. Since Max is not afraid of anything or anyone, so she should not be worrying too much. I know she may mean nothing but everytime i hear these kinds of "small complaints" every night is quite irritating for me.
